SELEDAY

SELEDAY a local fashion brand promoting the concept of self-celebration, it’s also the sister brand of SERENIA.

Project brief:

I was approached to design the brand identity of the business, including the logo, brand mission and visual designs on social media and website.

The challenge of this project is to make the brand distinctive and standout from the competitive market. In Hong Kong, there are thousands of shops selling similar fashion online, it is important to find out the unique selling point outside the products. My approach is to make the creatives professional and aesthetic, focus on the brand mission and convey it through various channels such as copies and branding kits.

What I did?

Branding

I helped design the branding identity, logo, brand mission, branding kits including thank you card, clothing tags and zip bag. I also help making website visuals and social media feeds, taking product photos and portrait.

Marketing

I helped engaged in digital marketing, including content marketing and advertising. We also worked on marketing campaigns such as collaboration with KOLs to convey brand message and consolidate the brand image which made the brand standout.

How it began?



When the founder came to me with with her ideas, it was so abstract and not organised. Therefore I guided her to clarify her brand mission, then came up with the this idea “SELEDAY” to represent the brand.

SELE stand for “Self-Celebration”, I created the term SELEDAY to convey the brand message “To celebrate yourself everyday”.

Branding

I first began the project by creating the brand name, logo, brand identity and branding kits. I consider this as an important part of the business so as to standout in the market.

Thank You Card

Most of the brand didn’t have thank you card along with the orders. I specially designed this card and wrote the following message:

”Embrace your beauty and imperfection. It’s all about selebrating who you are at the moment, not your future, not the person you wish you are. You are a unique beautiful soul. You are loved.”

The purpose is to show our brand mission and create positive impacts to the customers. We truly want to establish a mutual relationship with the customers and encourage them through various ways.

Clothing Tag

Again, I designed the tag, which is attached on clothes, to convey the brand mission. I added an explanation of the brand name as well as a call-to-action(Share your self-selebration with #MySeleday) to encourage the customers share the brand on social media.

I also wrote the words such as “Made with love” and “I’m your new clothes, love me like how you love yourself".” to show our brand personality.

 

Social Media Feeds

Attractive visuals and creatives are effective in building an outstanding brand image, I was responsible for taking photos and designed the following social media feeds.

Marketing

I designed the social media feeds and and engaged in marketing campaigns like collaboration with KOLs.

To convey brand message, we did a series interview with KOLs on social media. We aim to apply the brand mission in reality. We find this effective in enhancing social media exposure as well as brand loyalty. The following is one of the example:

E-Commerce Management

I built the E-commerce store via Shopline. The founder approached me with little knowledge on IT and digital marketing, hence why I chose using this platform as it has simple dashboard and comprehensive localisation function e.g. delivery and payment method. I helped built the basic setting of the website and designed visuals.
